so i've recently discovered gram parsons. and he rocks. one site i saw described him as "the alt-country patron saint," and i suppose that's sort of true. he played with the byrds shortly in the late 60s, was friends with keith richards, and lived fast and died young. and his music is pretty damned good. and emmylou harris got her start singing in his band.

i'm writing a paper at the moment, so i don't actually like too many things. i do like harry potter though.

i like the Old 97s. i like them a lot, in fact. i like them as a band, and i like singer rhett miller's solo stuff too. in fact, i'm not even sure i can say which of their songs i like the most.

i have also rediscovered mary lou lord (thanks tim!). and if you haven't heard of the drive by truckers, you should check them out. also, this band from the early 90s, chainsaw kittens, has a cool song called "high in high school."

i like sports movies. all kinds. the good, the bad, the cheesy (big suprise). for instance, i recently discovered rocky. parts of that movie annoy me, but on the whole it's good. and i just saw girlfight the other day. in addition to being a cool sports movie, it's also just a good movie, and it features michelle rodriguez, who i think is very cool. and i love miracle. for some reason i find hockey movies particularly appealing (i still like the mighty ducks. and slap shot is a great movie.).

hipster boys. can't help it. they're so endearing with their skininess and baggy pants and funky hair.

scott caan is hot, even if he is short.

diet cherry coke. hard to find, but very, very good.
